A UNCC botanical gardens engagement session at the very beginning of spring is maybe the best way to kick off spring. I’ve never shot there before, so it was so fun to see and get to shoot somewhere new! Ben and Amy had the most perfect weather for their session (if not a little hot), and I had a great time walking around the gardens with them before heading into Charlotte to capture the skyline at sunset!
Ben and Amy have been together for 8 years, and I feel like it’s so easy to tell with how comfortable they are with each other! They way Ben still looked at Amy after that long together is so incredibly sweet and special. They actually found me through their friends Austin + Abby (remember there session here if you haven’t seen it!). I also photographed their friends Logan + Jill’s mini wedding celebration last year. It was really fun having that small connection with them. It’s also made me so excited for the mini reunion with all the sweet couples at their wedding in October!
Ben and Amy are both alumni of UNCC, so it was really meaningful to have part of their session on the campus. The gardens were so green and just beginning to bloom. It was fairly quiet when we were there, so it was the perfect atmosphere to start their engagement session. After the gardens, we headed to the skyline at CPCC parking deck. This is my favorite view of the skyline! We made it in time for sunset, and it was so glowy and beautiful! I had so much here, and I’m so thankful they went along with some of my sillier suggestions. To end the session, they popped a bottle of bubbly and just took in the beautiful evening. It was such a great way to end the night.
This time with Ben and Amy has me SO excited for the October wedding at Whitehead Manor! It’s going to be such a special time with their family and close friends, and I cannot wait to capture it for them! Enjoy just a few favorites from our evening together!
