Where to begin with this day! While Drew and Melissa were married in June, I’m still not over how beautiful everything was for them! Their Terrace at Cedar Hill wedding was absolutely stunning. From the ceremony and gorgeous florals to the night time portraits with the lit up skyline. It was the perfect day for Drew and Melissa to become husband and wife.

Drew and Melissa began the day by getting ready at a hotel in Uptown Charlotte. Its rooftop was the perfect back drop for some bridal party photos and individual bride and groom photos. I knew from Melissa’s bridal portrait session that she was a STUNNING bride. And gosh, y’all, her and that dress and that city backdrop…so gorgeous.
They then read letters from each other, and thus kicked off the emotions of the day. Drew was so emotional before seeing his bride. It was really the sweetest thing to see. Melissa is also an elementary school teacher, so she had her students write some advice to Drew. She had it put in a book and gave it to him, and it was absolutely hilarious! This was such a great idea, and I highly recommend following Melissa’s lead if you’re a teacher!
The rest of the day was just as sweet. Drew seeing his bride come down the aisle towards him, to the fun bridal party images on the terrace, to the dancing and limbo line. We got to do some night time portraits with Drew and Melissa with the lit up skyline, and these were SO fun! I loved them being able to sneak away from the reception and soak it in a little bit.
The night ended with a private dance between them, and I know they shared that this was one of their favorite moments. Despite a photographer and videographers, they managed to feel alone in their reception space at the end of their wedding day. This is truly a moment that’s worth having- for sure recommend thinking about a private last dance to end your night!
But to cap off the epic day, the new Mr. and Mrs. Rigley had a horse drawn carriage to carry them away. This was such a fun and special way to end the night! I’ve tried to narrow down, so enjoy a few favorites from the most beautiful June day!
