Chris and Lesley are one of the most fun couples I’ve had the privilege to photograph. I knew by insta-stalking (it may be weird to admit, but we all do it) Lesley that they were super active and liked to have a good time together. It did not take long into their session at all to realize just how fun they are! Constant laughter and smiling made my job so easy! It also let us get some really natural images that I think showcase their relationship so, so well.
When we first started talking about their engagement session, Lesley had mentioned that she wanted to do a few different locations. I’m all about multiple locations when they’re close together. I also loved the idea of capturing these two at some places that are special to them. Future brides, keep that in mind! Your images are always a little extra special when taken in a location that holds some meaning!
I met them at a small park right on the edge of Uptown. This is where Chris proposed to Lesley- as they were heading home from running a half marathon! We then went over to Freedom Park. The greenway that runs in front of the park is where the two love to run, and it was SO beautiful for photos! After that we went a little further into Freedom Park, and y’all, I’ve shot here a bit, but the light during this session was unmatched! We managed to find a quiet area (rare on a Sunday at Freedom Park!), and I just could have stayed there all day long. But once done there, we booked it over to the Unknown Brewery. Unknown is where Chris and Lesley had their first date, so it was amazing to head back there and get some shots of them in that special spot. They went there last year on their anniversary to grab a drink to commemorate, which I think is so fun.
They also had their moms and group of friends meet them there- a reward for the grueling work of playing models for an hour and a half, haha! But it was so fun to witness them around their friends and how much love and support they had. It made me SO much more excited for their November wedding at Romare Bearden Park (reception at The Terrace at Cedar Hill).
I usually try to keep my words short and sweet cause I think y’all are here for the images, but there is so much I could say about these two! I’ll digress, though, and let you witness firsthand the joy that these two have together. Enjoy a few faves!
