Photographers often talk about what a privilege it is to be there on the wedding day. I agree with this sentiment wholeheartedly. So take that and multiply it by about 10 when a couple invites you back into their life for their lifestyle newborn photos. It’s just the most wonderful compliment. It’s also (selfishly) beautiful for me to witness- to see a couple that I captured starting their lives together adding to their family…it’s so special.
Ross and Chelsea were married in the most classic, beautiful wedding at Morning Glory Farms about a year and a half ago. I was SO excited for them when I saw that they were expecting a baby boy, so when Chelsea reached out about newborn photos, I was over the moon excited. Not only are Ross and Chelsea one of the most beautiful couples, but they’re so incredibly kind and thoughtful and considerate, and it’s just an immense pleasure to have them in front of my camera.
It was so a privilege to meet their sweet baby boy. Nicks is so tiny and perfect- with a 3 and 5 year old at home, I forget how little they start! Their nursery for him is so beautiful, and it was filled with the most beautiful natural light. I’m always clear that I do not do the typical posed newborn photos, but I love capturing family lifestyle photos with the newest addition to your family. Those precious moments with mom and with dad and with everyone together…melt. my. heart.
