I always show up early to engagement sessions to look around and choose some spots before beginning. I’m always glad I do this, but never more glad than this past weekend when I shot at Glencairn Gardens. This place. is. gorgeous. There were so many amazing locations. I’m so glad I picked some out beforehand so that when Andrew and Haley got there I wasn’t wandering them allll over the place, haha!
This was a different engagement session for me as we shot in the morning. Usually the light can be a good bit harsher at this time compared to a sunset (or even sunrise) session. But again, Glencairn Gardens was perfect. It had some great shade locations and lots of trees to provide pretty light. Add in a super fun couple like Andrew and Haley, and you’re just asking for some magic!
I feel like I say this about every couple, so maybe I just get so lucky with my brides and grooms, but I LOVE a couple that can laugh and have fun together! Immediately when I met Haley and she was still barefoot, I knew they were going to be a super fun couple! They warned me beforehand, as most couples do, that they weren’t photogenic. But the way they just look at each other and laugh means I really just had to position them and then wait for it. Everyone always ends up loving the more candid, natural looking shots, and they’re some of my favorites, too! Their facial expressions in all of their photos are ones of joy and laughter. It’s just such a joy to capture that.
Andrew and Haley, thank y’all so much for letting me say perfect about 1 million times in an hour, for being seriously adorable even though I know y’all thought you were awkward, and and letting me move you around to get the best light. You were so much fun to be around, and I am incredibly excited for your wedding in May at Riverwood Manor!
Enjoy just a few of my favorites!
