Y’all. I feel like I say this about every single one of my couple’s, but Ross and Chelsea are some of the sweetest and kindest people I’ve ever met. They are so happy and joyful with one another. That was evident from the first time I met with them. I had been looking forward to this engagement session since…well, since I met them! Ha. Not only are they so sweet, they’re such a gorgeous couple. Two people who are so easy to relax around. I love engagement sessions not only because of the pretty pictures, but it’s also SUCH a good chance to spend time getting to know my couples better.
Ross took Chelsea to Basil, a Thai restaurant, for their first date because he knew she liked spicy food. It was a cold January night, but he convinced her to not let the night end. They ended up walking in the freezing weather to grab a drink after dinner. I asked them if they knew after the first date this was it. Chelsea said she knew even before they went on the date, which is why she was a little hesitant to go out with him- Ross is the guy you marry, and she wasn’t sure she was ready. Cue. The. Tears. (I have a feeling I’m going to be crying a lot at this wedding…I cry at all of ’em, but this one might get me a little extra.) They’ve made it work through school and their busy PA jobs, so when Chelsea was trying to pack for a trip to the mountains, claiming she didn’t have anything to wear, Ross told her he had something she could wear- and it had a little extra sparkle to it ;).
We traveled a bit during this session. A Charlotte skyline shot was a must since they hadn’t had one since moving to Charlotte, but we were also eager to shoot at Morning Glory Farm where their wedding is going to be next September. I loved the different scenery provided by each location, and I’m just so glad we got some good weather for this evening!
Ross and Chelsea, I had such a fun time with you both! You are both so sweet and genuine, a beautiful couple, and I am already SO EXCITED for your September wedding!
