One of my favorite parts of this job is getting to experience different seasons with people. This Marshall Park engagement session with Harrison and Ashley was a little reunion for us. I first met them at a mini session last fall. I remember they were so fun and had the cutest little pup, Smokey. When I received the inquiry for their wedding, I got so so excited to see their names!
I love Harrison + Ashley’s story. They went to high school together, then lost touch a bit before reconnecting when Ashley *thought* she was moving to the same area as Harrison. Turns out while she was settling in DC, he had moved to Charlotte. This time, though, they stayed in touch. Early last year, Ashley moved to Charlotte, and now these two high school friends-turned-sweethearts will become husband and wife in September.
Harrison and Ashley are so giggly and cute together. I loved watching them interact, and it was nothing short of adorable watching Harrison as dog-dad to sweet little Smokey. They were so attentive to him throughout the session, and I loved the small ways they cared for each other through fixing each other’s hair, smoothing clothes, and taking turns with Smokey.
We started the session a few blocks up from Marshall Park. The white steps and columns really reminded me of DC which is where they both lived for some time, so it seemed perfect. (It also photographs beautifully!) We then finished the evening at Marshall Park to get the picturesque skyline. It was great getting to know these two more and talking more about their upcoming wedding. I’m SO excited for their intimate wedding weekend in the mountains in September at Greystone Inn!
Enjoy just a few faves from this Marshall Park engagement session!
