It rained pretty much all of last week in Charlotte. Towards the end of the week, I started to get concerned about the weather for Austin and Melissa’s session. THANKFULLY mother nature got her life together! We had the most beautiful evening and amazing light. When you add in a gorgeous couple and perfect outfits, magic happens!
Fisher Farm is a photo-heaven in Davidson, NC. It was full of family sessions when we got there, but the best part of this farm is that you can find quiet corners all over! Melissa wanted an outdoor setting for their photos, so when she mentioned Fisher Farm, I knew it would be the perfect location!
And SPEAKING of them….Austin and Melissa are such a sweet couple!! This was my first time meeting them, and after talking with people via email for so long, it’s always amazing to finally meet them in person. Austin and Melissa are just as nice and fun as I could have hoped for. They met 4.5 years ago, and in July Austin gathered all of her closest friends and family and asked her to be his forever. Y’all, he had been planning this since APRIL! That’s when he got the ring, and I’m so impressed. My husband definitely would have lost the ring for sure, so I’m blown away Austin was kept it a secret!
Just want to mention that these beautiful people told me they were going to be awkward. I just want to go on record to say how untrue that is!! Melissa has the best model face, and Austin didn’t hate being photographed which is a major plus for me for a groom! They laugh so easily together. Everything about the way they interacted was so sweet and easy to photograph. Already so excited to have these two back in front of the camera for their wedding in June!
Austin and Melissa, I’m so excited for y’all! Your relationship is so fun and beautiful, and I can’t wait to see it come full circle in just a few months! Enjoy some favorites from our time together!

I also just want to say a big THANK YOU to these two. I tend to get a liiiiittle excited about good light. And in case you’re wondering…this is what I consider good light. They dealt with my crazy and decided to call it “enthusiasm”. I like that better.
