Y’all, this Charlotte maternity session blog post is my first post with ALL film images!! If you’re not a photographer, you may not understand the hype of film and why this is exciting for me. I’ve just always been drawn to the old-school film images. They make my lil heart skip a beat. I bought myself a “survived 2020” present in the form of a Pentax 645 medium format film camera at the end of last year. When we had a slightly warm February day, I quickly texted my friend Tiffany, who’s also a wonderful film photographer. Tiffany is expecting her first sweet baby with her husband, and I’m so thankful they were willing to be my models while I practiced!
This day actually turned out to be colder than I anticipated. And as with all things that are new, there was definitely a learning curve in loading the film….but I am SO thankful for Tiffany and Dalton and their patience with me! Tiffany also put up with all of my newbie questions and helped me so much. One of my very favorite parts of the Charlotte creative community I’ve found is the willingness to help each other. It’s propelled me forward so much in business, and it’s invaluable as I start to try and incorporate film!
I had zero plans to blog this session because, again, it was practice. But some of them came out better than I could have thought, and I’m just so excited to share a few that I love so much. Enjoy a handful of favorites from this Charlotte maternity session!
